In comparison to natural gas, oil boilers are much less common within the UK, they do however provide for a more than capable alternative for properties that aren't already connected to the natural gas network. As an added bonus, the large majority of oil boiler appliances will be fed via a supply of oil (kept externally within a tank)- this means that the owner is then able to source their own fuel without being tied to any-one supplier!
